A case report published Nov. 20, 2018 in Annals of Internal Medicine describes the successful use of omalizumab as rescue therapy for refractory status asthmaticus in a 41-year-old man with a history of asthma with pollen allergy, who developed severe dyspnea while working at an outside construction site.
